Entering his senior year at Central Michigan University, Regan Cleves returns to the microphone for his fourth season with CCHN. Since co-founding the network ahead of the 2021-22 season, he has served as one of the main voices of Chippewa hockey on CCHN while also managing public relations for the Men’s Division III team.
This year, the Grand Rapids native becomes the new president of the organization, taking over for three-year president and now CMU alum Devin Serra. As part of that new role, he has overseen the transition of the group to a fully-fledged registered student organization and the addition on the Men’s Division II team to the CCHN family.
His broadcasting career began in 2018-19 calling hockey and baseball games for his high school, Grand Rapids Catholic Central, building up a broadcasting network that still stands seven seasons later and graduating Suma Cum Laude in 2021. Bringing his talents to Mt. Pleasant in 2021-22, he worked with Devin Serra to build the CMU DIII Hockey Radio Network from a simple radio streaming platform to the network it is today.
The highlight of his seven-year career came last season when he and Serra, his on-air partner for three seasons, called 30 games together at the 2024 ACHA National Championships. As one of the two main duos for the ACHA, their week in St. Louis and long-time on-air partnership culminated in the Men’s Division II National Championship, Indiana over Miami 5-4 in overtime.
Cleves is in the final year of his studies at Central and plans on graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and a minor in Sport Management. He is also a part of the CMU Honors Program and three-season marcher in the Chippewa Marching Band.
A part of Boy Scouts since fifth grade, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2022.
A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Cleves is the son of Colleen and Randy, who is entering his 26th season with the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins, serving as the Vice President of Communications since last season.
Returning for his third year at CMU and CCHN, Vice President Parker Morrison is looking forward to another amazing season broadcasting Chippewa Hockey alongside his amazing team.
Starting from scratch with absolutely no broadcasting or hockey background, Parker took a shot in the dark and hit the ground running, joining CCHN his freshman year and making on-air appearances within a week of membership. He since has expanded his craft of broadcasting to new heights, and furthered his hockey knowledge immensely alongside it.
The Marshall, Michigan, native and Frankenmuth High School graduate continues to excel in his field, majoring in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts with minors in Journalism and Sports Management. On campus aside from CCHN; Parker works as an Esports Broadcaster, Film Festival Promotions/Media Relations Director, and is a part of the Game Day Presentation Team for CMU Athletics Program. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and his girlfriend, Britta; working out, and working on his car.
Parker looks to solidify CCHN as a firm broadcasting organization to hockey fans everywhere, especially those on campus. His determination and hard-working mindset make him fitted to the leadership role as he strives for success not just for himself, but for everyone a part of the CCHN team.
Ryan is entering his second year at Central Michigan University studying education with a double minor in English and Broadcast and Cinematic arts. In his second year with CCHN, he will be a part of the Women’s D2 broadcast team with appearances with the Men’s D3 and D2 while serving as the network's treasurer.
The native of Fraser, Michigan graduated from Fraser High School in 2023 with a 3.2 GPA. At his time at Fraser, he was the historian of the Quill and Scroll honors journalism program, a member of the FHS broadcast team, a four year marcher in the marching band and the vice president of the FHS student council.
In his free time, Ryan loves to call games for CCHN, fish, golf, and hang out with friends. He also hosts the Card Guys: Detroit Sports Talk on WMHW 101.1 The Beat.
Broadcaster & Director of M2 Operations
For the third season in a row, John Gervasi will be the voice of the CMU Men’s ACHA DII Club Hockey Team. This season, the native of Berrien Springs will be the broadcaster to navigate DII back into the fold at CCHN.
The best memory of his last three years with the team was calling six games in six days at the ACHA showcase, calling games for the University of Texas, Bowling Green, Loyola Marymount, and of course the Chippewas where he called the first outdoor win in CMU history. That culminated in two amazing comebacks in the showcase’s final day. The other highlights of his career so far are calling games in arenas like Taffy Abel and Yost Ice Arena.
John graduated from Central Michigan with a degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. In addition to calling games for CMU, John has also broadcasted baseball and softball at the NCAA level for Alma College and served as a color commentator for Lake Michigan College Basketball and various high school teams from Southwest Michigan.

A sophomore majoring in broadcasting and double minoring in sports communications and journalism, Drayton serves as camera man and crew member for CCHN while also working for CMU athletics as a camera man.
Growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ian has been a big sports fan and athlete ever since he was little, playing five sports throughout his schooling.
Ian started to enjoy hockey watching Detroit Red Wings Broadcast and going to Van Andel Arena watching the Grand Rapids Griffins, which led him to join CCHN and find a new passion.

A junior at CMU, Brody enters his second year as a member of CCHN. Brody spends most games manning the camera, but has also found himself producing broadcasts and reporting during intermissions on occasion. He has also served as technical director and cameraman on multiple episodes of Inside Chippewa Hockey.
At CMU, Brody is pursuing a major in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and a minor in Music. A member of the trombone studio, he performs in the Chippewa Marching Band, 6th Man Band, CMU’s concert bands, and the CMU Trombone Choir. This, on top of CCHN, makes it seem like his schedule is packed at all times (and it is), but he enjoys being busy.
A native of Saginaw, Michigan, Brody grew up on nights at the Dow Event Center watching the OHL's Spirit play, and has had a love of hockey ever since. This, combined with constant viewings of the Detroit Red Wings over the years, led Brody to test the world of hockey broadcasting at CCHN. It is an understatement to say that Brody has had a great time so far helping CMU hockey get on-air.
Social Media Director
Joseph Grogan is back for his fourth season with CCHN. He is a senior at Central Michigan University, focusing his major in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts with a minor in Journalism.
As of now, Joe works as the Director of Social Media for Central’s D3 Hockey Club. He also is part of the student creative design team with Central Michigan Athletics and freelances with local sports teams.
Joe specializes in sports graphic design, photography, and content creation. His goal after college is to work with any professional sports organization (preferably in the National Hockey League). Later in life, Joe would like to work as a sports beat reporter and take the knowledge he has learned from his Journalism classes out into the real world.
Outside of photography and graphic design, Joe enjoys the outdoors during summer either camping, reading or meditating. Spending time with family away from work and school, allows Joe to digress and relax. During his off days, he enjoys attending sporting events like hockey, baseball, and football with friends and family.
Joe has intermediate skills with various Adobe platforms, which include Premiere, Photoshop, Indesign, Audition, Bridge, and Lightroom!
